What does website maintenance actually include?

Our maintenance plans cover regular WordPress core, plugin, and theme updates; security monitoring and hardening; automated backups; uptime monitoring; performance checks; and a set number of support hours for content edits and minor changes each month.

Our web maintenance services are tailored towards your platform & needs, but typically include: a certain number of monthly commited hours at a discount – for wordpress specifically, includes core updates, theme updates, plugins updates.

How often will updates be performed?

It depends on the plan / engagement and type of update. For platform updates, we typically update them monthly or quarterly. Security updates may be handled differently and quicker. For regularly requested site updates, they’re typically completed within the week and can be requested to be done on a quicker timeline pending time sensitivity.

What happens if my website goes down?

If we’re hosting your website, we monitor all sites for downtime. If we don’t host your website, we ensure we have hosting access before we make regular site changes, and we make sure you have a backup system in place. If your site does go down, we will work quickly and diligently to restore it. It is our priority to ensure downtime is minimized.

Do you support platforms other than WordPress?

Our primary expertise is in WordPress due to our WordPress hosting platform and experience with the multitude of WordPress sites we provide maintenance on. With that said, we do provide maintenance services on a wide range of platforms, including WooCommerce, Wix, and Shopify.

Can I request content changes under my maintenance plan?

Yes. Our maintenance plans include a monthly allocation of support hours that can be used for content updates — text edits, image swaps, form adjustments, and similar tasks. Larger development projects are scoped separately.

How much do your maintenance plans cost?

Pricing is based on several variables, but typically starts at $150 an hour. With blocks of hours, the cost comes down.

Can I combine maintenance with other Ki services like SEO or Paid Search?

Absolutely. With our clients that are engaging in a digital marketing campaign, a certain amount of maintenance hours are included monthly.
